University Libraries are established to support education and research activities, to meet the information needs of staff, students, and teaching staff arising from academic programs and scientific research, and to contribute to the increase of the knowledge of the people in their region.
Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Library and Documentation Department started its activities in Anafartalar Campus on 20.10.1993 and has moved to its current building with a closed area of 5,000 m² in Terzioğlu Campus since the 2005-2006 academic year. With the annex building opened for use in 2014, it continues to serve its users with its rich printed and electronic collection with a seating area of 1000 people in an indoor area of 8000 m2 and a shelf length of 17 km.
ÇOMÜ Library is among the few research libraries in Turkey with its rich printed and electronic collection as well as its physical equipment and facilities. ÇOMÜ libraries consist of 1 central library, 3 faculty libraries, and 9 libraries:

ÇOMÜ Library aims to provide its users with the open shelf system and Dewey Decimal Classification thematic classification system so that researchers can easily access the publications they are looking for.
